Invite GVPH to Your Event

Granville Vance Public Health is available to come present on healthy living at your event. The Health Education & Health Promotion Department at Granville Vance Public Health provides outreach, public awareness, and health promotion services in various locations throughout the community. With an emphasis on healthy choices, our health education initiatives include healthy eating, active living, and substance abuse prevention, all of which impact individual and population health.  Outreach initiatives seek to provide information about core public health services, as well as nutrition services, breastfeeding support, care coordination for children, and WIC.

 

Types of community events we can attend include:

  • Health fairs
  • Faith-based events
  • Speaking engagements

Information presented can be tailored to meet the group’s needs and focus a broad array of topics, including:

  • Nutrition
  • Physical Activity
  • Substance Use and Abuse
  • Youth Tobacco Prevention
  • Reproductive Health, including Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • Chronic Diseases & Prevention
  • General Wellness

If you have a special program request, please provide information downloading and filling out our Program Request Form so that we may assist you. We ask that you please submit your request at least a month (30 days) in advance to allow appropriate time for scheduling and planning your event.
